Chilán is an Acupuncturist, Shiatsu Therapist and Herbalist in Tucson, AZ. Chilán began his studies in Zen Shiatsu in 2003 under local Sensei Yoshi Nakano. Zen Shiatsu utilizes acupressure and stretching to potentiate the health of both the giver and the receiver and acknowledges their symbiotic interdependence. In 2011 Chilán began to study a branch of Japanese Meridian Therapy called Hari, under it’s original founder, Sensei Koi Kuwahara. The unique principles of Hari primarily focuses on the “root treatment” which is intended to balance the elements and create harmony between the patient and nature. The imprint of this harmony spreads like ripples on a pond to benefit all beings across the universe. In practice, Hari draws heavily on pulse diagnosis and palpation and uses minimal to no needles to achieve profound healing results. Currently, Chilán continues to hone his skills through clinical practice and teaching workshops and classes. Chilán is well known for his subtle and effective techniques, genuine compassion and insightful honesty.
